Celebrating a Life

Family Altar

A memorial service or funeral is a sacred moment in all of our lives. It does not need to be in religious language for it to be sacred. It just is.

I cherish the privilege of celebrating with family and friends the life and presence of a loved one who has transitioned from this world. I facilitate services that are personalized and honor the dignity of life.

A memorial service is a time of "pause". Often a family is overwhelmed with the loss of a loved one and it can be challenging to take the necessary time to create the kind of service that brings the community and family together. As a minister and licensed therapist, I am experienced in supporting a family and friends through a time of grieving and decision-making. A memorial service can be a gift of healing, reconciliation and a renewal of your own dreams and joy in life.

Dear Reverend Dalton,

Thank you for your time in making my daughter's memorial service so personal. Thank you for praying and saying such nice things about her. The ceremony will always be in my heart.

Dear Reverend Dalton,

In spite of the sadness of losing my husband and the children's father, it was a beautiful and heart-warming occasion. Not a day goes by that someone doesn't comment on the beautiful service you facilitated. In spite of your not knowing Bob personally, you had the talent of putting into words the way we all felt about him.

Just yesterday I was with a lovely young woman, who said that after the service she went immediately to her father with whom she had been estranged for many years and put her arms around him and made amends for many years of hard feelings.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your beautiful words.
