Born and raised in the West of Ireland, Reverend Peadar Dalton was educated in Ireland and the United States. Peadar (pronounced like rather with a "P") was ordained a Catholic Priest at Carlow Seminary, in Ireland. He immigrated to the United States many years ago, and has a nation-wide reputation for his own special ministry in inclusive spirituality, and his philosophy that the human person is the clearest reflection of the Divine in the world. Peadar is a graduate of Tulane University, New Orleans and holds a Board Certified License in Clinical Therapy. His training offers guidance concerning issues around family dynamics and also marriage preparation counseling.
Rev. Dalton has been recognized for his involvement in ecumenical dialogues and served as the Chairperson for a Peace and Justice Commission for a number of years. He is connected to many local ministerial groups and is a current board member with Hospice by the Bay. Rev. Dalton embodies a rich combination of Irish depth, charm, wisdom, and humor. In addition to being a seasoned speaker, he is often described as "charismatic and naturally compassionate." Also licensed and Board Certified as a clinical family and couple therapist, he can contribute marriage preparation counseling along with other services he provides with his training.
His philosophy, “A Wedding is a Day – A Marriage is a Lifetime” is demonstrated over and over again by the testimonials that he continues to receive many years after marrying couples. How the wedding ceremony unfolds should touch the lives of the bride and groom in their unique personal moment forever. His wish is that the families and friends present find themselves saying, “We are happy that we were here to support the bride and groom as they begin their journey as husband and wife, and our own relationships have been touched and deepened by how this wedding ceremony was celebrated.”Yelp and WeddingWire
